Over the past several months, AOS staff has helped me begin to restore my condominium home after over a decade of neglect, disorganization, and accumulated clutter. Due to my other personal commitments, disability, and a messy style of living, I allowed my home to become overwhelming, dysfunctional, and in some situations, unsafe. I began working with Brenden in the late spring of 2012 and am continuing to work with him every few weeks to do the finer-tuned organizing tasks, like going through my cIosets and all of my papers. The bulk of the work, however, consisted in de-cluttering and organizing my entire 1 bedroom + den condo unit over the course of a summer, including the removal of many items to donate as well as the purchase of new items to help keep me organized. Action Organizing Services cleared out the large 4 bedroom home of my elderly father. They deposed of, donated or recycled 50 years of ephemera, family mementos, furniture and junk. These are gentle souls. The Action Organizing Team is made up of hard workers. They are prompt, courteous, industrious people who get the job done in a timely fashion. Not a penny of my money is wasted on idleness. And, I must admit, that sometimes the work gets going too fast --- at least for me. Some days are better than others, as far as decision-making goes. But this brings out one of the unique and best things about Action Organizing --- they are sensitive and intuitive. At first, I was not able to say, "Wait a minute!" But the person with whom I was working could sense that I was overwhelmed and we stopped to talk about things and, once in a while, moved to another area where my decisions came more easily. I have heard tell that sometimes organizing and de-cluttering can be done in one or two sessions and the job is completed. A team of people go in, depending on an individual's need, and that's it. However, with me, I prefer working with one person who knows how I prefer to do things. I am messy, I must admit, but also there have been many life-changing events that necessitate the comings-and-goings of the artifacts of my beloved people. We contacted AOS to assist us with a family member who was evicted for hoarding with a 14 day notice. It was an impressive experience from the beginning. ******* was responsive and very quick to assess our needs for this person. After his initial 2 hour visit at the apartment, he called and provided his perspective and steps to move forward. This was so helpful. We had no understanding of what a person that is hoarding needs or how to really help. He walked us through it and more importantly he made the difference with our family member. ******* engaged his team and resources and got the job done in a timely manner. The individuals were of such high integrity and provided an atmosphere of trust Additionally ******* suggested donation options, and consignment alternatives for items that were not going to be thrown out or kept.. I have used AOS several time in the past, but this time I badly needed help purging my home of clutter. Over the course of 4 days, Brian (with some help on one day from Jeremy) helped gut part of the basement, the back porch, the side porch of the garage, and my sons' room. He kept a steady pace which kept me accountable for my time as well. I have already booked Brian for help in another basement room and will likely be contacting AOS for additional help in the future. 5 Stars - I highly recommend Action Organizing Services. They were a huge blessing to me and my family. My sister passed away earlier this year in Milwaukee. I live in Florida. I was appointed my sister's representative and was responsible for the inventory and dispersal of my sister's property. Brenden at Action Organizing agreed to review, inventory and donate all of my sister's possessions for me, so I would not have to travel to Milwaukee to do this. Starting on August 14th, Brenden and his excellent crew of workers (Dave, Shaun, Ian, Nathan and Ryan) went through my sister's possessions. I was able to watch them on Face Time, and they sent me many pictures through texting. After many hours of hard work over several days, all of the items were either donated to charities, tossed out, or sent to me. I was given a thumb drive with pictures of my sister's possessions plus a listing of major items donated to each charity. Brenden and his crew were courteous, helpful, and very professional.
