• Over the past several months, AOS staff has helped me begin to restore my condominium home after over a decade of neglect, disorganization, and accumulated clutter. Due to my other personal commitments, disability, and a messy style of living, I allowed my home to become overwhelming, dysfunctional, and in some situations, unsafe. Brenden and his associates proved to be as non-judgmental, skilled and helpful as previous testimonials in Angie's List have described. Space by space, they helped return rooms to safe status. Member Comments: I feel completely at ease with Brenden's help. He is very knowledgable about community resources for donations, and helped me decide what I should dispose of by using his gentle guidance---always leaving the choice up to me. He listened to what is important to me and then was able to carry on without my specific decision-making, thus making it less stressful for me. He helped me "upgrade" my furniture---specifically, a computer hutch---by moving a nice one another client of his needed to dispose of, and then transported my old one to a donation site. He showed no frustration if I fell into my old messiness and he had to re-do what had been done previously. He also had excellent suggestions for ways to help me cope with my physical limitations and utilize my limited space more effectively. He show intiative, follow-through, and always obtains what I need in the community. He also will install shelving, connect electronics, and is informed about health concerns in the home environment. His skills and knowledge base are myriad, based upon his experience and ongoing accumulation of expertise he has gained through attending workshops, being active in related organizations, and attending conferences as well as obtaining accreditations. Brenden's co-workers, Kim and Eric, each share the AOS value of service. Kim has helped me numerous times in sorting through clutter and organizing storage for what I want to keep. She is always cheerful, hard-working, energetic, enthusiastic, and comments on the progress I don't always recognize....Eric lent his considerable physical strength to move the new computer hutch up some daunting stairs; he then stayed to help pick up a bedroom so it was navigable. The process of restoring my home is an ongoing process but I am now looking forward to the transformation.I would highly recommend Brenden and AOS for helping with any level of need for organization in the home. In addition to his knowledge of organization and community resources, he understands the reasons people have difficulty with organization in their living environments. His personal ethic and commitment to helping others in a nonjudgmental and supportive manner drive the services AOS provides.–Kathy

  • I began working with Brenden in the late spring of 2012 and am continuing to work with him every few weeks to do the finer-tuned organizing tasks, like going through my cIosets and all of my papers. The bulk of the work, however, consisted in de-cluttering and organizing my entire 1 bedroom + den condo unit over the course of a summer, including the removal of many items to donate as well as the purchase of new items to help keep me organized. Member Comments:  I cannot speak highly enough of Brenden McDaniel, his company Action Organizing Services LLC®, and his entire crew. I began using Brenden's services in the late spring of 2012, because my condo unit had become badly cluttered, disorganized, chaotic, and dirty. Because of ongoing health problems, I hadn't been able to unpack or really organize for over two years (!), and the place was a complete disaster. I have been working with Brenden and a couple other members of the AOS team for several months now, and I can honestly say that their help organizing my condo has been nothing short of a MIRACULOUS event in my life! The place has been completely transformed from somewhere I felt depressed and claustrophic just walking into to a place where I love to do work, relax, and even entertain.  There are a few things that really impressed me about Brenden's work from the very beginning. First, he has an amazing array of resources that he's able to coordinate for his clients, whether that is finding someone to clean or suggesting a great place to donate something. Second, he's not afraid to get his hands dirty and run all kinds of errands for you, like buying you new furniture, dropping donations off, and picking up organizing containers and things like that. But most importantly, he's able to kindly and professionally help you in a very sensitive situation--your own home gone amock--with utmost respect, while also gently guiding you toward making decisions that will help you declutter your life. He's not only incredibly effective at organizing your things but also genuinely supportive and encouraging on a person-to-person level. While it's taken several sessions of organizing and getting some cleaning done to get my place to its current state of stunning, I can honestly say that I saw real progress after every session and felt more energetic and hopeful after every session. You would have had to have seen my kitchen table on day 1 with Brenden to know how amazing it was to actually see its surface at the end of the very first session! Brenden comes with my highest recommendation to anyone who is struggling to keep their place organized, no matter how small or big the job may be. No matter who he is helping or where he goes, Brenden brings with him the same amazing set of skills: he is nothing but professional, kind, friendly, reliable, and, above all, extremely good and effective at what he does. He WILL get your place and your life organized, and in a way that will EXCEED your expectations. Every penny I paid Brenden and his crew was a penny well-spent. My only regret was not calling him sooner!–From Angie's List

  • "I recently contacted Brenden at a low point in my life; I had been diagnosed with two primary breast cancers (both within a 12 month period). I shattered. I became depressed and neglected myself and my environment. When I was strong enough to begin reclaiming my life, I searched for someone to help me ‘dig out.’ An organization I was familiar with in California recommended Brenden. When I spoke with him, I ‘knew’ he was someone I could trust. I interviewed two other companies, but I came back to Brenden because of his warm, calm and steady manner. Working with Brenden and the other members of his AOS team, Linda, Becky and Bill, has been a huge aid in my coming back to life. They are hard working and knowledgeable about organizing, reorganizing, rebuilding the habits of staying organized and avoiding the ‘triggers’ which lead to self-neglect, AND they are kind, warm and supportive as they work. I found their respect for me and my experience to be a foundation for healing. I recommend Action Organizing Services LLC not only to anyone looking for organizing and de-cluttering services, along with the education to develop good organizational habits and to avoid ‘triggers’ that can lead to lack of organization going forward, but also to anyone looking to reclaim their life after a traumatic event which has led to cluttering. My sister has called what AOS does ‘a ministry,’ and I can think of no better way to describe the ‘extras’ this group provides above and beyond organizing services. I certainly found the experience ‘spirit elevating’." From BBB website

  • My wife and I have engaged Brendan twice; first with help in decluttering prior to an interstate move, secondly for help in organizing after our move. Brendan is uniquely gifted to be able to pat you on the back in support as he kicks you in the tail to get you moving.–Tony in Greenfield, Angie's List Review

  • Action Organizing Services cleared out the large 4 bedroom home of my elderly father. They deposed of, donated or recycled 50 years of ephemera, family mementos, furniture and junk. After the clear out, they then cleaned the house from top to bottom.  The process went very well, could not have done it without them. It was worth every penny. The Action Organizing team was friendly and hardworking. It is very stressful dealing with the clear out of a family home, the personal attention provided made it much easier.–Michael, Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis, MN

  • If you're planning a move, big or small and don't know where to start, this is the company to contact. They really get you going in the right direction and are truly a blessing when you don't know what to do first.–Better Business Bureau Review

  • These are gentle souls. The Action Organizing Team is made up of hard workers. They are prompt, courteous, industrious people who get the job done in a timely fashion. Not a penny of my money is wasted on idleness. And, I must admit, that sometimes the work gets going too fast --- at least for me. Some days are better than others, as far as decision-making goes. But this brings out one of the unique and best things about Action Organizing --- they are sensitive and intuitive. At first, I was not able to say, "Wait a minute!" But the person with whom I was working could sense that I was overwhelmed and we stopped to talk about things and, once in a while, moved to another area where my decisions came more easily. I have heard tell that sometimes organizing and de-cluttering can be done in one or two sessions and the job is completed. A team of people go in, depending on an individual's need, and that's it. However, with me, I prefer working with one person who knows how I prefer to do things. I am messy, I must admit, but also there have been many life-changing events that necessitate the comings-and-goings of the artifacts of my beloved people. It takes me a while to understand in my own head that I do not have to hold on to everything in order to remember and honor my people who have passed on. And then my dear organizer, *****, is ready to come back and guide and help me again. My system of organizing is to do it in stages, at a pace that suits my emotions and my "power to pitch." *** ******* ********, the owner and head of the operation, makes wise decisions in sending out teams or individuals required to do the jobs as money and time constraints are involved. He is a stickler for not wasting your money, and, for being careful of the needs of the people for whom his teams work. I'm messy; I'm slow; I'm overwhelmed at times; But I'm oh so glad that I can call Action Organizing Service for help as often as I need to.–Nicolette F.

  • We contacted AOS to assist us with a family member who was evicted for hoarding with a 14 day notice. It was an impressive experience from the beginning. ******* was responsive and very quick to assess our needs for this person. After his initial 2 hour visit at the apartment, he called and provided his perspective and steps to move forward. This was so helpful. We had no understanding of what a person that is hoarding needs or how to really help. He walked us through it and more importantly he made the difference with our family member. ******* engaged his team and resources and got the job done in a timely manner. The individuals were of such high integrity and provided an atmosphere of trust Additionally ******* suggested donation options, and consignment alternatives for items that were not going to be thrown out or kept.. More than accomplishing the cleanup, we were given life lessons on empathy and tough love when dealing with a person with these issues. ******* also provided follow up after the move and offered additional organizational training ,if needed. An excellent experience for a difficult situation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!.Dale and Cheryl F.–Dale and Cheryl F.

  • Action Organizing performed handyman services at our office. They were timely, professional, friendly, efficient, and all around pleasant to work with.–Laura, Angie’s List Review

  • They went far and above in helping us. We had a sink that we ordered from Menards and they picked it up for me, installed, and even carried away the old sink and mirror we didn't want to donate to a charity. I have them coming back to paint a bathroom and to put in my other bathroom sink!–Julie in Oconomowoc, Angie’s List Review

  • I have used AOS several time in the past, but this time I badly needed help purging my home of clutter. Over the course of 4 days, Brian (with some help on one day from Jeremy) helped gut part of the basement, the back porch, the side porch of the garage, and my sons' room. He kept a steady pace which kept me accountable for my time as well. I have already booked Brian for help in another basement room and will likely be contacting AOS for additional help in the future. They are worth every penny!!–Jill in Oak Creek, Angie’s List Review

  • 5 Stars - I highly recommend Action Organizing Services. They were a huge blessing to me and my family. My sister passed away earlier this year in Milwaukee. I live in Florida. I was appointed my sister's representative and was responsible for the inventory and dispersal of my sister's property. Brenden at Action Organizing agreed to review, inventory and donate all of my sister's possessions for me, so I would not have to travel to Milwaukee to do this. Starting on August 14th, Brenden and his excellent crew of workers (Dave, Shaun, Ian, Nathan and Ryan) went through my sister's possessions. I was able to watch them on Face Time, and they sent me many pictures through texting. After many hours of hard work over several days, all of the items were either donated to charities, tossed out, or sent to me. I was given a thumb drive with pictures of my sister's possessions plus a listing of major items donated to each charity. Brenden and his crew were courteous, helpful, and very professional. They treated my sister's possessions with great care. Thank you Brenden for all of your help and hard work.–BBB Review
