Brenden was professional, courteous and polite. He was encouraging as I began the enormous project of organizing my place; he not only gave me tips about organizing, but he rolled up his sleeves and worked with me; he started to sort things right away and the job went much faster than I could have imagined. He was easygoing and pleasant, and he made the work I had been avoiding almost enjoyable! I recommend him highly and would certainly use his services again. I plan to call him to help me with my move in the next year or two.

Brenden is extremely helpful with organizational ideas in all areas of our home. He is so easy to work with, professional, friendly, responsive and prompt. He has even picked up shelving and other organizing tools and delivered them to our home. We first met Brenden in April 2008 and to date, he has helped us organize most of the house one 2-hour visit at a time, over a 2 month period. The best part is that once an area is organized, it stays that way! The systems he helped us implement really work. We now recommend him to friends and family and plan to have him return to help us organize our laundry and storage room.

Brenden is an extremely efficient, experienced organizer, and he accomplished more sorting/organizing in five hours than I have accomplished in five years. He quickly sorted through years of accumulated clothing, separating the clothes into categories: Donate, Toss, or Keep. He filled five or six huge bags with clothing and dropped them off at Goodwill after he left my home. He was very good at quickly ascertaining whether I wanted to keep or toss a particular item. Brenden also helped me sort through and box books. I emailed Brenden, and he called me back quickly to schedule an appointment. He is very flexible and is available at night and on the weekends. He recommended that instead of doing one "marathon" organizing session that we break it down into two shorter sessions, and that was a good idea. Brenden arrived on time and was friendly and professional. He offered to carry a heavy storm door down into my basement, although I didn't ask him to do so. He quickly sized up the clutter in my basement and recommended that we start with the clothing. I was really amazed at how fast Brenden was able to get through all of my stuff. I hate cleaning and organizing, but the job was quite painless. Brenden was a good conversationalist, and I would guess that he has a background in psychology because he seemed to intuitively understand how to motivate me without making me feel embarrassed about my messy basement. He came back a second time, and the experience was similar; he is very good at his job. I wish I could afford to hire him to work for me every week because he is fabulous. I was skeptical about hiring a professional organizer, but he was very worth the money.

I plan to organize the whole house. We are working in the basement first. Brenden comes for 2 hours and we work together. He charges $55/hr. A big service is that he takes everything I'm getting rid of away - either to recycle, donate or throw away. On the first visit Brenden found me cleaning the garage and he jumped in and helped which made the job go much, much faster. He is energetic and focused and that helps me to get going, too. He is experienced and has lots of good ideas.
---Barbara Palmisano

We had our basement and loft de-cluttered and the whole house better organized. Brenden is great. Easy going and accommodating, he is a pleasure to work with. He respects our wishes with what to keep, yet steps in to suggest what is not really needed. We will continue to work with Brenden to further our organizational needs.

Brenden helped me get two big closets in my bedroom organized. Everything needed to be removed from one of them to make room for my future husband's things. He took everything out of the closets and helped me go through everything. He got me to get rid of clothes, which no one else had been able to do. He showed me how to organize clothes by types so they would be easy to identify and keep from wrinkling. He helped me find places for everything. He is very knowledgeable about anything and gave me all kinds of ideas for storage and decorating. He explained everything he wanted to do and showed me how to do it. He took everything I was getting rid of away so I wouldn't be tempted to change my mind and take stuff back. Brenden is great. He got me to "part" with bags and bags of outdated, unflattering, no longer fitting clothing that I had insisted on keeping for years. He very skillfully made me see why it didn't make sense to have enormous amounts of not fitting, out dated clothing or the same type of clothes in the same color or styles when if you can only wear certain types of things at limited times like jeans wouldn't I want to pick out all the different styles and colors and get rid of all the same. He maintains professionalism while putting you at ease.

Brenden McDaniel and Action Organizing Services LLC ® has helped me get rid of clutter and organize my house including 2 storage lockers, all closets, and drawers.  They found over $600 in coins I had hidden away.  I appreciate and value the work they did for me.  I could not have done it without them.  They were so friendly, helpful, and honest.  I will certainly recommend them to anyone.
---Pat Quaid

Brenden, Thank you so much for your help with the items in our daughters house, you gave me a direction to go in which I had no idea of before. You gave me a good starting point and if I need your help in the future I will surely call you, I will keep your card on my desk. Thanks again. Sincerely,
---Sandi Schult

Dear Brenden, Thank you so much for coming yesterday. You worked so well with all of the staff and we were able to divest ourselves of so much stuff. I was even inspired enough to clean another drawer this morning. Half of it was-what else-office supplies.

Brenden has been working with me on an ongoing basis to improve the organization in my home. Brenden and I did a walkthrough of my whole house and discussed the roadblocks to being organized. He then began with helping me clear out my catch-all kitchen counter and come up with a process for handling incoming mail/schoolwork/projects etc. so things do not pile up. When that was finished, we started on a basement room that needed major cleanout and reordering to make it a functional project room for the kids and me. Brenden is extremely professional and personable. He is effective at helping organize without sounding critical or bossy-he truly is there to help. He looks at the big picture to help his clients see the way they could utilize space and order things for easier function. He has also helped me reduce and recycle my old things: I donated a used big screen TV to a daycare and he was able to haul away and recycle my old computers and broken exercise equipment. Lastly, he is a huge resource of connecting people and services wherever needed-he will make a recommendation or have an idea to economize for just about everything!
---Tracy Grabowski

Brenden performed a whole house walk through providing suggestions of how each room could be organized, what stuff to keep, sell or donate. We then selected one room to completely clean out and organize. About 2 hours were spent in this room. Clutter was removed and storage cases were moved in. This room is now ready to be used. Although we disagreed with some of his suggestions about what to do with certain items throughout the house and how the house should be arranged, overall his suggestions were very good. He jumped in working to clean out the selected room rather than standby and give directions. His primary focus is to remove clutter by either donating, selling, give to someone or as a last option, keep it and find a place for it.
---Michael Pitcock

I hired Brenden as a Christmas present to my husband to organize our basement and remove many items which just needed to be given away or thrown out.  Brenden quoted my job as a set price for about 4 to 6 hours of work by him and one other person. He brought one helper, Bill, and my husband and I both participated in the job as well to make decisions about items. What to keep, throw out and give away. We also made decisions on where things should go for their final resting place if we kept them. Brenden did a great job of getting everything out of the house for us, which was a huge relief. We were left with some re-organizing to do in our kitchen but we were so worn out that day from the huge effort on the basement project that when he asked if we wanted his help on that we just couldn't put any more energy into it. He offered us one more hour to use at another time on a different project, which we'll definitely take him up on after our baby arrives. I am sure he had at least an hour's worth of traveling to do to get rid of all the stuff we pulled out of the basement. So in all, it's fair.

Brenden--Your presence and assistance were much appreciated!  I am slowly getting settled & looking forward to a fresh start.  Hoping to have you back again soon.

I purchased my first home, a 2BR/2BA condo on the East Side in July 2008. As of March 2009, I was only halfway unpacked. My dream home was becoming a nightmare and a source of constant stress and anxiety. The thought of tackling this job in my few spare hours each weekend was overwhelming me - to the point of paralysis. That's when I turned to Angie's List and found Action Organizing Services LLC® and Brenden McDaniel. Brenden helped me finish unpacking and find, assemble, and arrange new furniture that would suit my storage needs. I was so embarrassed by the state of my home when Brenden came for the first consultation. He quickly made me feel at ease and assured me this was a very do-able job. We began in small chunks tackling one room at a time. Before we started, I was afraid that Brenden would expect me to purge many of my belongings. I needn't have worried. In fact at times, he even encouraged me to keep items I was considering getting rid of! We sorted through box by box, a few hours each week, finding a home for what I was keeping and taking away what I was donating to charity. Brenden hauled away everything I was getting rid of and brought it to Goodwill or other organizations in need of donations. He even brought one of my favorite pairs of shoes to the shoe repair to be re-heeled. The changes in my place from week to week were amazing. As we worked, it became apparent that the amalgamation of mismatched furniture I had accrued over the years wasn't quite right for my new space. So I decided it was time for some new, "grown up" furniture. Brenden and I took two trips to IKEA in Chicago and filled his truck with purchases (both times!). He and his associate Bill assembled everything. Although it dramatically increased the scope of the project, I am so glad we did it. Over the two and-a-half months we worked together, Brenden and I did have a few disagreements. He was patient with me, as I had to take time to consider some of his suggestions. More often than not, I came around to his way of thinking. And, as I begrudgingly admit, he was right. His recommendations on furniture placement were spot on and things I would never have thought of myself (I guess that's why you hire a professional). There are still one or two things I'm being stubborn about - which became a source of a running joke between us. Without Brenden's help, I would still be knee-deep in unpacked boxes. Now, I'm putting the final decorating touches on my place and preparing to entertain my first guests - the first of many more to come! Thank you Brenden, I love my new home and I never could have gotten here without you.
---Shelley Lund

I made an initial appointment with Brenden for him to visit my house and get an idea of the areas I wanted to organize. He was very responsive on email and over the phone and easy to schedule. Shortly after the initial consult, Brenden, along with two of his co-workers, came to my house on a Sunday to do a "clean out" of my cluttered basement and attic. After a long day of very tiring, dusty work, they managed to completely transform these spaces. I helped by sorting my stuff into keep/donate/trash piles, but without them I would never have had the courage to tackle this project. What is truly remarkable about Action Organizing is how sensitive and attuned they are to the needs and limits of their clients. They completely understand that organization does not come easily to many of us, and that we often have psychological barriers that keep us from getting rid of things we don't need. Their positive attitude kept my spirits up as I sifted through years of accumulated stuff. Their services are not inexpensive, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Brenden and his team are amazing. They are extremely smart, energetic, and hard working. I would hire them again in an instant and highly recommend them.

On the initial contact, both Brenden and Bill were courteous, prompt and professional.  They came to my apartment and looked through the entire place with me, offering suggestions and solutions.  During the first organizing visit, Bill drove to the Good Will with me and brought home two large bookcases that I had purchased.  Getting them into the Action Organizing truck on a freezing winter day was no small task, as well as carrying them up the curving stairs to my second floor.  Bill then tackled the worst room in my place - the combination computer, sewing, office, cat litter box (four), and general trash heap room.  By the time he left, I could walk through the room to my computer with ease, and the closet was filled with neat boxes of my stuff.  During the second visit, we continued to work on this room.  Bill fixed my two-drawer filing cabinet that had been unusable for years.  He also took the metal cross bars from under my sewing table, and placed two plastic file drawer units (one under each end), so that there was much more storage space under the large table.  I plan to replace the plastic units with metal filing cabinets as soon as I can find second-hand ones.  On the third visit, we worked in the living room.   Bill carried all of my books, which were stacked on the kitchen floor, and filled the two large bookcases that I had purchased previously.  He then tackled the mess in my bedroom. He found books that I had missed for a long time, and nutritional supplements that I thought I was out of and couldn't afford to replace.  I found both Brenden and Bill to be caring, sensitive, patient and willing to listen.  They are educated and trained to deal with people's mental and physical disabilities and do so in a compassionate and effective way.  My family is thrilled with the improvements in my living space.  Even though I am on a limited income, it was well worth the investment to have Action Organizing Services LLC® come to my home.  My quality of life has definitely changed for the better.  I have a long way to go, but they have started me on the journey to a clean, organized and relaxing living space.  Sincerely,

---Debbie Riemer

Dear Brenden, I contacted you weeks ago, feeling so much hopelessness, desperation and self loathing.  I've been living in this situation for years and it has become especially bad since my son has moved out on his own.  With your help and understanding, I no longer feel so alone in this wilderness of clutter and chaos.  Though my house had become some sort of secret fort of disarray, I believe that, with your understanding and help I can create a new kind of sanctuary for myself and even (maybe) invite my friends in to add joy & blessings.

Every small portion of my house I clean seems to be a stormy sky, where one cloud has vanished and the sun shines through, bright & pure.  With enough work, I'll have vanquished all the clouds and enjoy the full sunlight of order that gives hope and energy to life.  I know that clutter clouds will return, but you have taught me to start with one small area first and then keep taking tiny steps in cleaning each small patch.  All my Thanks to you.

---Gail Jacobsen

For over a year I have had the pleasure of working with Brenden. I have recently gone through some of the toughest years of my life. Having discovered I had cancer, having to undergo major surgery as well as dealing with the emotional side of the illness all the while still trying to be a busy working mother and graduate student lead to descent into chaos of clutter in our home. It got to the point where my family was so overwhelmed we didn't know where to start. We joked that we could be a weeklong special on one of those de-cluttering shows.

I finally realized we needed professional help to get started so I told my husband all I wanted for my birthday was to hire an organizer to get our house back together. My husband searched the Internet and found Brenden's website. From his glowing testimonials, I knew he was the right match for us. From day one Brenden has been wonderful. He helped us take on this monumental task with his boundless enthusiasm and willingness to dive in and work with us. This was especially helpful since I tend to have fatigue issues and need help moving items around. Never judgmental, Brenden quickly assessed our problems and helped us start chipping away at the clutter. He knew when to push ahead and when to slow down. His flexibility and willingness to listen to our needs makes him so easy to work with.

Brenden guided us in sorting, purging and organizing, helping us eliminate the unnecessary to make room for the things we needed and loved. He took the time to set up a system so that once the clutter was gone; we were able to maintain order. He has made our home livable again. I highly recommend Brenden to anyone needing to organize his or her life. He is efficient, professional and personable and always insures a job well done. We will continue to call on Brenden for our current and future organizational needs.

Hiring Action Organizing Services LLC® was one of the best things I've ever done. And I was coming to the experience with more than the typical hopes and expectations.

I am a proud person, and a perfectionist. I am also a typical person -kids, pets, work, a very busy life and lots of interests and hobbies. It is easy to accumulate "stuff" under such circumstances, and very hard to get on top of it when one discovers too late that it has taken over. It was, and is, terribly embarrassing for me to let someone into my house and my life in all its chaotic glory. I live in an historic neighborhood where people spend huge amounts of time engaged in the painstaking restoration of their lovely homes. It is painfully hard, thus, to be the only non-Martha Stewart on the block, and I'm convinced that Brenden (Action Organizing's indefatigable CEO and guru) is about the only person on the planet who could have gotten me over that emotional hump and on the road to a reasonably tidy life.

I'd tried a couple other organizers before, and somehow always wound up feeling ashamed of myself, and even more overwhelmed than before. You know, that awful feeling inside that the organizer is secretly thinking you are the worst housekeeper of all time and a slacker to boot because you don't have potpourri and guest towels in your bathroom. So it was with the absolute desperation of wanting to make my life workable that I tried again. I called Action Organizing because the Yellow Pages ad tickled my fancy. "Specializing in the chronically disorganized." That's how I felt inside, and the motto seemed to capture the spirit of the problem.

And it does. I can't describe the relief I felt after just talking with Brenden. He understands the fact that the problem is about the people, not the stuff. And since he's a "real" and realistic person himself, it resonates with me and makes it non-threatening and motivating to work with him. I think much of Brenden's success with working with people has to do with the simple fact that he's a he. A he with a big truck and a man's sense of making things work, versus making things pretty or gimmicky. Much of my disorganization is really a function of my limited time. I'd purge my kids' belongings, but they'd get into the bags and reclaim things before I had the time -and sometimes the muscle-necessary to load things up and take them away. Brenden is value-added to me because he can help with big jobs I can't tackle alone, and that he can get things out and away from the house so that the impact is lasting.

Most of all, Brenden is comforting and reassuring to be around. It isn't an easy thing to stay up and motivated while plowing through sorting and purging tasks that have been building up for years. He sets reasonable goals and is a genius at getting one to see the process and the progress. This is key, because I think the real barrier to getting organized for those of us who aren't, is that we see what is and how we think it should be and we simply can't visualize the in between stages. And so, we give up. Time and again, I have found that his encouraging "that's much better", and "next time we'll ." is not blowing smoke at me, but an honest appraisal I can trust completely. And live much better with.
---Sara

The day after moving in, Action Organizing Services LLC® arrived with four people to unpack and put my entire house away by 2:00 p.m. They then broke all the boxes down and loaded them on the moving truck. It was a great experience. The worst part of moving is the unpacking. It usually makes weeks to get to the last box. The last box was out of my house at 2:00. The kitchen was completely set up. I gave very little direction. They all just did what we needed to do. They were great to work with, brought me coffee in the morning, bought me lunch, and wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else they needed to do. They were a great value, and I would use them again in a minute.

I contracted the services of Action Organizing Services LLC® in 2006 to clear out 50 years worth of accumulated belongings in my mother’s home after she moved into an Assisted Living facility.  This was necessary in order to get the home ready for sale.  My realtor told me that if I didn’t do it myself, a contractor would throw everything out.  I didn’t want to throw everything out, only those things that were worthless.  The house contained many items of some financial value, as well as sentimental value.

I was referred to an organizer by my mother’s investment broker.  This was someone who specialized in senior down-sizing, rather than in discarding everything as junk.  When the organizer assessed the magnitude of the clutter in my mom’s house, she referred me to Brenden McDaniel of Action Organizing Services.

Brenden went to work on the house almost immediately.  He was not intimidated by the magnitude of the task at hand.  Although it took several weeks and several thousand dollars to complete, Brenden was able to clear out all contents, while discarding most worthless items and retaining nearly all items of value.  He also performed a lot of his work under environmentally unsafe conditions, by wearing hazmat gear.

It remains to be seen if my investment was worth the cost, but memories are priceless.  This is what Brenden was able to accomplish, that could not have been done by any realtor’s contractor.

He's fantastic! He's helped me organize my home and my home office. I was facing knee surgery in a few weeks and in a stage of panic. He came right away after I called, very responsive! He's good at reading clients and could tell right away what I needed and what I didn't. He could tell me what stressed me to do and what didn't. He could tell how to work with me instead of tell me what to do. He's good at guiding without pushing me. He's got multiple techniques in solving each individuals problem. A great resource! Amazing! I didn't compare his prices with anyone else. I've tried to work with other organizers and they've all tried to make what I needed to do their way, even though it didn't fit my technique.

As personal rep for my great aunt's estate, it was my job to liquidate all of the property in her home. I made phone calls and sent e-mail's to several ''estate'' sale sellers with very few responses back. And, the few that responded back, required a minimum of at least $5,000 in property before they would even consider holding a sale. The closing on the house was fast approaching. I found Action Organizing on the web and decided to give it a try. Owner Brenden promptly returned my phone call to answer all of my questions. Shortly thereafter, he made a visit to my aunt's house to tell me what things were worth selling, keeping or getting rid of. This was a HUGE help as I wasn't sure if there were some things of value in the home. (There were!) He assisted in the liquidation and disposal of the property and lifted a HUGE burden off of my shoulders! Even if you want to hold a sale yourself, he can be hired to do the pricing for you one ENORMOUS task in and of itself. KUDOS
---Judith Feierstein

Brenden organized my living room and dining room including books, CDs, and papers. Took cumbersome television and other items to donate. Moved window air conditioners and other heavy items to basement. Even removed ice from my front walk.  Brenden was prompt in returning my telephone calls and keeping appointments. He had good suggestions, gave good feedback, and was willing to work with my game plan. He was open to my being directive with what I wanted done. He was willing to work together and offered the option of doing the work himself without my direct participation. He suggested products to help organize books and CDs. He was nonjudgmental, friendly and pleasant to work with and have in my home. He was willing and able to work with my schedule, including working evenings and weekends. He worked efficiently. I am very pleased with what we got done. I have additional time scheduled with him in the future. It was a relief to have help with organizing my house.

Action Organizing Services LLC® has taught us how to take our clutter from AAAAAH! to oooooooh! We can't thank Brenden & his staff enough!

We at Eaton Corp can't thank you enough for your work in our newly relocated Milwaukee electrical sales office!

As our District's Administrative Assistant, I had been traveling back and forth between Minneapolis and Milwaukee to help with their move. Even though my own organization skills are much better than most, the chaos after the move was overwhelming...always too much to do and too little time to do it on my trips!

Thank goodness I found you on the internet! When I first called you, I was just hoping to get the demo room re-vamped. You fit us in so quickly and everyone in Milwaukee was amazed at your know-how and your speed! Even better, is that you looked around the rest of the office and then called me with some great ideas to better arrange and organize three more rooms! Your prices are very reasonable, especially since you guys are fast! And you're surprisingly knowledgeable in other areas as well. What a great "plus" that you were already familiar with sales literature and had great ideas to also get it organized! What a treat for everyone!

The Milwaukee sales office thinks you're the best! I do have to say that I'm a bit jealous...they used to think I was the best, but you've shown me up in this area and I'm a hard act to follow! Thank you for taking the initiative to see beyond your initial task! Thank you for being so great at what you do!

We needed to clean out a ''office'' bedroom for our baby, and combine things into another bedroom. Helped sort through papers and organize. Arranged furniture in spare bedroom. Set us up with carpenter to build shelves and baby gate. Member Comments: Brenden was polite, helped us go through papers and let us know what can be tossed, what should be saved. Helped combine two bedrooms worth of stuff into one. He was a big help with getting shelves built, which helped free up space and allow us to keep some of our ''knick-knacks''. Did not force us to get rid of a lot of stuff, helped us organize it so it was more controlled. Will use him again to help organize and childproof the kitchen.
----Lorraine Heins

Brenden came to my house, inspected the problem areas (office and spare room) and talked with me at length about how we could work together to organize the areas and make them more usable. He also said he could help me to become more organized in my approach to daily tasks. Member Comments: This is an ongoing process. So far Brenden has helped me to organize my office so that my desktop is usable (no more towering piles of papers). We went through everything, made file folders when needed, and threw out bags full of unnecessary stuff. We've made a very good start on the spare room with the goal of turning it into a combined guest room and hobby area. Brenden has hauled away junk, recyclables, and taken donations to appropriate agencies for me. He keeps me on track on dealing with tasks that I tend to put off. I look forward to his visits and intend to have him come back for refresher sessions on a regular basis once my spare room is done.
----Kathryne Jacobs

My father and I contacted Action Organizing Services LLC® last summer to assist with organizing my father’s home of 45 years in order to sell it and relocate my father.

Uprooting an elderly parent is no small undertaking and Brenden was sensitive to an older adult’s needs and preferences.  He scheduled two hour sessions of organization to not disrupt my father’s schedule unduly and to not overwhelm him.  During their organizing sessions he listened to my dad’s concerns, fears and memories as only another male could do.  If there were issues that I needed to know, Brenden called and together we strategize a plan or solution.  I am convinced that the numerous phone conversations that took place between Brenden and me eased a very difficult transition for my father.  Brenden did not to just condense my father’s belongings. He assisted with much needed emotional support for my dad and me.

Brenden McDaniel exemplifies outstanding customer service.  While Brenden was on a much deserved weekend in Chicago, my father called in a panic about an issue unrelated to Brenden’s organizational work.  Brenden cut his weekend short and drove several hours just to alleviate an old man’s level of stress.  Brenden went way beyond an organizer’s call of duty.  He has continued this customer service even though he is no longer contracted by my father.  He calls or visits monthly.
----K. Taylor

Brenden McDaniel has organized my home for me.  The work Action Organizing Services LLC® did for me made it possible to maintain independent living in my own home.  I am a stroke victim and now I can move around my home without assistance and everything is in easy reach for me.
----G. Nagle

My mom was delighted with the work that you did!  She was so grateful, thanks for doing a fabulous job.  I will keep your website bookmarked in case we want to do more work for her in the future.
----Anne Martin

I knew I needed help to organize my overrun garage and basement.  You see, my husband has dementia and just found out a couple of years ago.  My first thoughts were that I had to get all the paper things in order.  I did that and suddenly a year had gone by--because there is little family in the area and those that are here have their own agendas I decided to strike out on my own to find someone to help.  I used the Internet and low and behold I found a professional organizer.

My husband and I also used to do the flea market circuit so you can about imagine what I have to go through in order to even think about selling any of it or selling the home.  I wanted to do this when my husband was still able to help in decision-making and Brenden of Action Organizing Services LLC® is very understanding of the situation and respectful of my husband when it becomes difficult at times.  Some days we work really fast, others are slower paced so that my husband feels a part of all of it, but through it all Brenden has assisted in the sorting and downsizing.

Packing to move to a new home is nothing but headaches and backaches. When you have to place a spouse or parent in a care facility it also brings heartache to all the events leading up to it.  Moving involves lots of decisions in a short period of time: What to keep? Toss? Give away? Sell? Brenden has helped in this decision making process to sort out only what we need, use and love.

I'm making memories just in the effort we are taking to do this and  my garage and basement are all packed and labeled.  Brenden has arranged for pick-up of unwanted items for charities or drops them off himself.  He has arranged for removal of waste including hazardous materials.  We still have a ways to go, but I am so happy with the result.
-----Gloria Goller

I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Brenden McDaniel, whose professional organizing services I have used since the fall of 2004. At the time, I was recovering from a heart attack and needed assist- ance with several organizing projects in my home. It had never occurred to me to call upon a professional organizer, but I am very glad I did. From the outset, Brenden demonstrated many of the qualities that make him so easy to work with. He is pleasant and enthusiastic, and clearly enjoys the process of helping people cope with restoring a sense of order to their surroundings. It requires a great deal of patience to help people do the actual work of clearing, sorting, and parting with possessions (and clutter) they have spent years acquiring. Brenden is not only patient, but perceptive; he is skilled at matching his pace to his client's as the situation calls for. He has the ability to approach problem-solving in a neutral, non-judgmental way, and is also flexible about adapting his ideas so they work best for the client. Brenden's services make the process of organizing less stressful; when the sheer size of the problem seems so overwhelming it's hard to know where to begin, Brenden always has a plan and encouraging words to keep the end result in sight. Achieving tangible results is the best part about working with a professional organizer like Brenden. He not only helps with the immediate problem at hand, but helps set up systems so that it's possible to stay organized. Rather than tell his client what they should be doing, he's always ready to roll up his sleeves and actually get to work. That to me is the mark of a true professional.
